DIRECTIONS
From Boston by Car:
Via the Tobin Bridge (Rte 1 N) from I-93 S or Storrow Drive:
Take Route 1 N exit (the Tobin Bridge). Take the Route 16 exit (Revere Beach, Lynn) from
Route 1. Follow Route 16 to Bell Circle (first rotary with lights). At Bell Circle take Route 1A
(Lynn, Marblehead). Follow Route 1A into Lynn, fork right at Nahant/Swampscott sign to Nahant
rotary. Take first right off of rotary, go over causeway and stay on Nahant Road to its end. Marine
lab is on the left at East Point at the end of Nahant Road.
Via the Callahan or Ted Williams Tunnel (I-90 E) from I-93 N or I-90 E:
Take either tunnel towards the airport. Both tunnels end at Route 1A. Follow Route 1A to Lynn.
Fork right at Nahant/Swampscott sign to Nahant rotary. Take first right off of rotary, go over
causeway and stay on Nahant Road to its end. Marine lab is on the left at East Point at the end of
Nahant Road.
From Routes 128 & 95 North:
Take exit for Lynn/Route 129 East. Follow 129A to its eastern end at the ocean. Take a right
and follow the water to Nahant rotary. Take second right off of rotary, go over causeway and stay on
Nahant Road to its end. Marine lab is on the left at East Point at the end of Nahant Road.
From Boston by MBTA (Public Transportation)
By Bus:
Take the #441 or #442 from Haymarket to Lynn Central Square. Take the #439 bus from
Lynn Central Square to Richland/Town Hall on Nahant Road. To reach the lab you must walk up the
hill and around the corner (10 min).
By Train:
Take the Blue Line to Wonderland, then the #441 or #442 bus to Lynn Central Square. Take the #439 bus from Lynn Central Square to Richland/Town Hall on Nahant Road. To reach the lab
you must walk up the hill and around the corner (10 min).
By Commuter Rail:
Take Newburyport Line from North Station to Lynn Central Square. Take the #439 bus from Lynn Central Square to Richland/Town Hall on Nahant Road. To reach the lab you must walk up the hill and around the corner (10 min).
From the North Shore
From Routes 128 & 95 South:
Take exit for Route 1 South. Take exit for Lynn/Route 129 East. Follow 129A to its eastern
end at the ocean. Take a right and follow the water to Nahant rotary. Take second right off of rotary,
go over causeway and stay on Nahant Road to its end. Marine lab is on the left at East Point at the
end of Nahant Road.
From Route 1A South:
Follow 1A South until you reach downtown Lynn at North Shore Community College.
Take left onto Carroll. (Lynnway). . Take first right off of rotary, go over causeway and stay on
Nahant Road to its end. Marine lab is on the left at East Point at the end of Nahant Road.
